synthetic cannabinoids have changed over time
Writing middle school science paper about
how synthetic cannabinoids have changed over time. Were the first noids better
than they are today? What were your favorite noids ever?
Why the fuck are you writing a middle
school paper on hard drugs??? No middle schooler should even be thinking about
noids.
No, most of us didn't.
I was playing video games and figuring out
how to beat off like a normal child.
Yeah dude, normal middle schoolers most
definitely think about getting high. It’s cute that you “think” your experiences
apply to everyone and show whatever you think normal is.
As the chemicals got banned, the ones that
came out to replace them were always not as good. At first they were pretty
decent still- back in like 2011/2012, there were still some JWH analogues floating
around and stuff like AM-2201. Back then, in 2011/12, I smoked a good amount of
branded blends and they were enjoyable- I remember one called "Spike"
which had levels- Silver (the weakest), Gold (the middle ground- my personal
favorite that I smoked quite often and was my go to), and Diamond (the
strongest one- but it was expensive so I didn't really get it that often. It
was very similar to Gold but just took less to get high and IMO wasn't as
good). You could get these at the smoke shop, still- they weren't stigmatized
because they were actually enjoyable and didn't always make you freak the fuck
out. Of course, there were still blends that produced bad effects- just like
any drug, there are always bad batches of blends. People did have freakouts- but
there were also people who would treat the blends like they were just like
weed, and they would take huge bong rips of the stuff. The thing with blends
was, and always has been, that they are active in much smaller amounts than
weed. Whether it was 2011 or 2017, no matter what blend, you always wanted to
smoke small amounts because the product was always stronger than weed, even if
it was a "Level 1" product. People wouldn't know this and they would
smoke blunts of the stuff and freak the fuck out. I never really had that issue
because I was always cautious and smoked very small amounts at a time until I
reached the high that I wanted.
When they were sold in smoke shops, there
were a lot of quality products. That's because, like I said, the chemicals they
were using were decent and there was actually some form of quality control,
believe it or not... people were actually trying to put out a pretty good
product in order to keep people's business. There were some local brands that
were pretty good, although one of them was responsible for a small panic attack
(lasted about three minutes, freaked me out, but was not like the dirty,
terrible, grimy feeling if blends nowadays). I seem to remember some other
blend names that I liked... Head Trip was good, there was something called
Klimaxxx which was really strong... The cool thing about blends at this time
was that I think some of them contained mild psychedelic chemicals, like
5-MeO-DALT... at least that's what I heard. It was cool to try out some of them
because I was never well-versed or brave enough to order any RC's from the
internet, so I'm sure I experienced some interesting compounds because some of
those blends were DEFINITELY different than just a weed high and put me in very
interesting headspaces.
Then they started to fall off and get
banned from stores, analogues kept getting banned and the quality dipped
severely.
I stopped for a while, then back in 2014/15
found a few websites carrying blends and they were cheap. I enjoyed a few, but
they were drastically different than the ones from 2011/12. Many blends would
have a "crack" like duration to them (having smoked crack, I would
actually say that they were slightly longer than a crack high, and completely
inferior). There were blends that would get you super high for 5-10 minutes and
then you would come down and be sober again- not even any lingering high like
regular weed. You would take a hit, get extremely blasted, and be sober
again... but they had a compulsive nature to them- you wanted to just keep
smoking it to get that short high. It was a lot less like the old blends and
nothing like weed. It was addictive and when you ran out you were depressed.
Yeah, those weren't good. There were a few good blends, though, that would
produce decent highs that lasted about an hour or two, and didn't give you many
bad side effects. But they did feel a lot different than the old blends. Not as
"clean" (I use that term loosely, as all of the highs from blends
were not very clean feeling, but the ones from 2011/12 were a lot more clean
feeling than these).
Again, I stopped with the blends because I
got bored of them.
I had one more stint wth blends in 2017,
after finding online "companies" that sold their own branded blend (
I had to take out the names of the specific companies, so I just used
abbreviations for them). Before, you would go to a "superstore" kind
of site and choose from a variety of blends under different names like Mad
Hatter and Bizarro. But in 2017 I found websites that sold their own specific
blend- AZ, MK, and MB. AZ was actually a good, reliable brand. I believe they
are shut down and I assume the others probably will be soon, too. I liked AZ
actually. They had levels to their product. There were three initially, but
they added another one (which sucked). I was a fan of their level 3 product. It
was strong and produced a fairly weed-like high, which was surprising because
by 2017 almost all of the good analogues had been banned. MB and MK were the
same way- they had levels to choose from, and they were pretty consistent with
their quality. There still were superstores, but I believe they were all
similar to AZ- just one company putting out their own batches. The superstores
would advertise dozens of different brands, harkening back to the better days
of spice... brands like Bizarro, Mr. Nice Guy, Mad Hatter, etc... but they were
all basically the same. They would just be the same product bagged into
different branded bags, trying to make people believe they were getting these
brands that were once sought after. But most of those superstores were just out
to make a quick buck and put out really shitty products. Basically, by 2017,
the only companies worth fucking with were AZ, MB, and MK. I gave up on blends
after a few months, though, and I no longer have interest in them. There have
been too many unpleasant highs with the newer blends so its not worth it
anymore.
I always liked weed a lot more, anyway. I
just thought it was interesting that you could buy these blends online,
technically legally, and they would get you high as fuck. They were always
cheaper than weed, and I usually only ended up smoking them when I was unable
to smoke weed due to pending and/or random drug tests. Back in 2011/12, it was
like a novelty because it was new, and you could buy it at the smoke shop. I
smoked those back then because I genuinely enjoyed them, and it was fun to try
out all of the blends coming out, because the chems they were using back then
were still pretty good.
Anyway, I actually don't believe I just
wrote a post this long... I'm high right now (not on any sort of spice blend)
and just feel talkative. I was into them for those periods of time just out of
sheer curiosity because there were some interesting blends that would produce a
high that was pretty different than weed. It was interesting to try out blends
and see what kinda weird high you would get. Of course, as time went on, it
became more like Russian Roulette, and the hypothetical revolver began to have
more bullets in it and there were a lot more shitty blends that made you feel
shitty.
I would read stories about people smoking
something like, 5-10 grams a day... I would get 1-3 grams and smoke it over a
week or two so I never really got "addicted". I did feel pretty
depressed and out of it when I stopped smoking them, though. I'm sure smoking
them over the years hasn't been good for my brain, either... all of those
research chemicals were always new and there was never much information on
them, nothing was really known about their effects on the human body and
especially if there were any long term effects... so in a few years I could be
paying for my experimentation. Who knows.
But yeah, that's my two cents on spice
blends. I sort of just posted this out of nostalgia, because I remember those
periods of my life and how spice was integrated into them. It was a random
choice to come to this subreddit today, as I haven't even thought about spice
in a long, long time.
But on top of all of this, why the fuck are
you writing about spice for a middle school paper? I don't want to be quoted on
this, so don't be putting "opiothrowoid" as a reference on your
paper. Use the info if you want, just keep me out of it.
And don't fucking smoke spice. I can't
imagine how bad it is now.
EDIT 2: I read the mod post and took out
the vendor names, just added abbreviations for them.
Well kiddo. All I can tell you is the first
ones I tried prob 8 years ago seemed a lot more mild, and as they got banned,
all my friends who were on probation (who couldn't smoke real weed) kept
smoking the new ones and some of them pretty much became junkies. Good luck on
your project and don't do drugs
They turn you into a depressive fiend. They
cause brain and kidney damage. They ruin your life. They make you want to kill
yourself even though you are already doing it, slowly.
The new ones are awful. The original ones
(jwh-018, jwh-073) felt almost like pot. When the originals were outlawed, the
ones that replaced them were inferior, when those were outlawed the next wave
were even worse, and so on. The current ones cause physical
addiction/withdrawal and depression/mood swings.
They changed to the worse atleast. The
first couple of noids like the UR series, stuff like UR-144. Or the JWH series,
stuff like JWH-018 seemt pretty safe to me, but nothing is certain ofc.
Stuff like Chimaca, Fubinaca series have
atleast contributed to number of deaths worldwide. The chimaca ones are very
potent, atleast some of them.
The last noids i ever did was 5F-AKB48 and
AB-Fubinaca. Both of them seems much more toxic than the ones i first tried
out, which was UR-144 and JWH-018.
I however have also done 5cl-ab-pinaca or
whats it called, that one is the only "new" one i though was ok. It
dident seem to toxic, and its not that potent.
I however enjoyed the 5f-akb48 high abit,
but its one of the noids i almost though i was going to die from, so nowdays i
wouldent do that one again.
5cl-ab-pinaca i can do again, i never
experianced any weird side effects or irregular heart beats with that one.
AB-Fubinaca had nasty side effects if
abused, vomiting, and other WD symptoms.
In other words, synethic noids have become
worse and worse for each year, and is much more potent than they where when
JWH/UR and stuff was around.
Nowdays the high from noids is almost like
ur tripping, but whitout visuals. Most of all new noids is probably very toxic
in the long run.
I stay far away from synth noids nowdays
and wouldent smoke it anymore. I stick to my regular weed and dont give a shit
if the goverment give me fines for breaking the law. My health is more
important than my economy and criminal record.
